Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Isokorigari ("Isokorigari", "we", "us"), the operator of the Isokorigari.com multivendor B2B and B2C marketplace, collects, uses, shares and protects personal data of buyers, sellers, visitors and partners. We process personal data in line with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, including the law relating to the protection of personal data and privacy.

1. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, phone number, email address, password (stored in encrypted form), language and account type (buyer, seller, affiliate).
• Order and delivery data: delivery addresses, district and sector, order history, wishlist, cart contents, Requests for Quote (RFQ) and messages with sellers.
• Seller and business data: shop name, business name, TIN or registration details, business address, bank or mobile money payout details and documents needed to verify a seller.
• Payment data: payment method, transaction references and amounts. Card and mobile money details are processed by our payment partners; Isokorigari does not store full card numbers or PINs.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, search terms and cookies.
• Communications: reviews, ratings, support requests, chat messages and survey answers.

2. How we use personal data

• To create and manage accounts and shops.
• To process orders, payments, deliveries, returns, refunds and cancellations.
• To connect buyers with sellers, handle RFQs and wholesale (B2B) orders.
• To verify sellers and prevent fraud, abuse and illegal listings.
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• To improve the marketplace, search results and product recommendations.
• To send order updates and, with your consent, offers and newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Sharing personal data

We share only what is necessary:

• With sellers: a buyer's name, phone number and delivery address so the seller can fulfil the order.
• With delivery partners: delivery details needed to deliver the order.
• With payment providers: data needed to process payments (for example MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, banks and card processors).
• With service providers: hosting, email, SMS and analytics providers working on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• With authorities: when required by Rwandan law or a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and language, measure site performance and show relevant products. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password encryption and restricted staff access. No online service is 100% secure, so please keep your password private and report any suspicious activity.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax and dispute-resolution periods. Inactive accounts may be deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to marketing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can update most details in your account, or contact us. Requests for account deletion can also be made from your account settings.

8. Children

Isokorigari is not intended for children under 18. Parents or guardians buying children's products do so through their own accounts.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
