How Isokorigari Works: One Catalogue, Many Sellers, One Online Marketplace in Rwanda

Isokorigari.com connects buyers, verified sellers, affiliates, advertisers and delivery partners in one online marketplace, built around one master catalogue where many sellers can offer the same product.

The big picture

Think of Isokorigari as a large market hall in the middle of Rwanda, but online. The market hall (Isokorigari.com) provides the space, the rules and the tools. Sellers bring products and services. Buyers come to compare and buy. Affiliates bring new buyers. Advertisers make shops and products more visible. Delivery partners bring orders to customers in Kigali and the provinces.

Here is the flow in one line:

Seller lists a product → Buyer finds and orders it → Buyer pays → Seller confirms, packs and ships → Delivery reaches the buyer → Seller is paid through the seller wallet

The five players in the marketplace

One catalogue, many sellers

This is the most important idea on Isokorigari. The marketplace keeps ONE master catalogue. Each product (same name, brand, model and size, same product identifier) exists only once. Many sellers can sell that same product, each with their own price and conditions.

For buyers, this means no confusing duplicates: you open one product page and see the main offer plus "more sellers" offers, so you can compare price, stock, minimum order and delivery side by side.

For sellers, it means listing is fast. Here is how a seller adds a product:

1. Search first. Search the catalogue (and the website) for the product.
2. If it already exists, do NOT create a new product. Open the existing product and "add it to your store" by filling your own selling details: price, stock, minimum order quantity, condition, SKU, delivery/shipping profile, warranty, return info, and your own description notes if allowed.
3. The product then shows on your shop page and in the marketplace under its existing category, as one of the "more sellers" offers, never as a duplicate.
4. If it does not exist, create or request a new product. The admin team reviews it.
5. Missing category or brand? Send a Category Request or a Brand Request. The admin team approves them.

The seller journey, step by step

1. Register at /seller.
2. Fill in your business details.
3. Wait for admin approval.
4. Set up your shop: shop name, logo, banner, description, policies, shipping profile, and payment/payout details.
5. Add products, from the catalogue first.
6. Receive orders in your seller dashboard.
7. Confirm, pack and ship, then mark orders as shipped and delivered.
8. Earnings go to your seller wallet, minus the marketplace commission set in the Seller Policy (see the Seller Policy and your seller dashboard for details).
9. Request a withdrawal (payout).

Shops are organised by the categories they sell in, so buyers looking in a department such as Construction & Real Estate or Agriculture, Food & Beverage find the right shops fast.

The buyer journey, step by step

1. Create an account or sign in.
2. Search, or use the All Categories menu and the header menus Physical, Digital, Services and Classifieds.
3. Pick product options (colour, size, storage, volume, weight, pack size, tile size and more).
4. Compare sellers, badges, ribbons and reviews.
5. Add to cart and check out. For bulk orders, use Request for Quote (RFQ).
6. Pay with MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, card, or cash on delivery (COD) where available.
7. Receive your order. Delivery prices depend on the rates set by the transport companies, the region (Kigali or province), the weight and size of the order, and other factors (see Shipping & Delivery).

How trust is built

• Admin approval of new sellers, new products, categories and brands.
• Seller badges: Verified, Top Seller, Wholesaler, Made in RW, Fast Ship, Quality, Official, Best Price, Same Day, COD, Warranty and more, plus membership tiers Individual Seller, Company / Shop, Supplier / Wholesaler and Manufacturer / Industry.
• Product ribbons: Hot Deal, New, Bestseller, Sale, Flash Sale, Few Left, Combo Deal and others.
• Reviews and ratings from buyers.
• Clear policies: Return & Refund, Cancellation, Payment and Seller Policy.

How buyers save

Buyers earn reward points (2 points = Rwf 1, about 1% back on purchases) and can use coupons such as WELCOME10 or ISOKO2000 (conditions apply and may change). Many products also have wholesale prices.

A quick example

Imagine a hotel in Musanze needs 200 bath towels and 50 kg of rice every month. The buyer searches Isokorigari, opens the towel product page and sees offers from several sellers. A Wholesaler with a Verified badge has the best bulk price, so the hotel sends a Request for Quote. The seller replies, the hotel orders and pays with MTN MoMo, and the seller packs and ships to Musanze. The hotel earns reward points, and the seller receives earnings in the seller wallet. Same marketplace, same simple steps, whether you buy one item or one truckload.

Common questions

Does Isokorigari sell products itself? Isokorigari is a multivendor marketplace: sellers own their offers, and Isokorigari provides the platform, the catalogue, the rules and the support.

Can my business buy and sell? Yes. A business can be both a buyer and a seller.
