How to Request a New Category, Brand or Product on Isokorigari.com

When the category, brand or product you sell is not yet on Isokorigari.com, you can send a Category Request, a Brand Request or a New Product Request, and the admin team reviews it before it goes live.

Isokorigari already has a large master catalogue and more than forty departments, from Construction & Real Estate to Agriculture, Food & Beverage. Still, Rwanda's market is creative: new brands, local manufacturers and new products appear every month. This guide explains what to do when something you need is missing, and how to get your request approved quickly.

First: make sure it is really missing

Most requests are refused for one simple reason: the thing already exists. Before you send any request:

• Search the master catalogue in your seller dashboard and on All products, using short keywords, the brand, the model and the size.
• Open All Categories and look inside the departments and subcategories, not only the top level.
• Check the brand list when you add a product.

If the product exists, do not request it again: add it to your store with your own price, stock, minimum order quantity, SKU, condition, shipping and warranty.

1. Category Request

Send a Category Request when no category fits your product well. For example, you sell a new type of farm equipment and no subcategory under Agriculture, Food & Beverage matches it.

How it works:

1. In your seller dashboard, open the category request option.
2. Write the category name you suggest, in clear English. You may add the Kinyarwanda name too.
3. Say where it should sit: which department and parent category.
4. Explain briefly which products will go there.
5. Submit. The admin team reviews and approves, adjusts or refuses it.

Good example: "Poultry Drinkers and Feeders, under Agriculture, Food & Beverage > Livestock & Poultry Equipment. For plastic and metal chicken drinkers and feeders."

Weak example: "My products" or "Best cheap items". These do not describe a product type.

2. Brand Request

Send a Brand Request when the brand of your product is not in the brand list. This is common for local Made in Rwanda brands and new imported brands.

1. Open the brand request option in your seller dashboard.
2. Write the exact brand name, spelled as on the packaging.
3. Add a logo or a short description if the form allows it.
4. Submit and wait for admin approval.

Only request brands that are real and that you are allowed to sell. Do not request the name of another company to use as your own.

3. New Product Request

When the product is truly not in the master catalogue, you can create or request a new product. It is reviewed by the admin before it goes live, so that the catalogue stays clean.

Prepare:

• Name: clear English name with the Kinyarwanda name in brackets, plus brand, model and size. Example: "Cooking Oil 1L (Amavuta yo Guteka)".
• Category: the most specific subcategory.
• Brand: chosen from the list, or requested first.
• Photos: real, sharp photos of the actual product on a clean background.
• Description and specifications: what it is, what it is used for, size, material, weight, and any options (colour, size, storage, volume, pack size, tile size...).
• Product identifier: model number or code, if there is one.

When approved, the product joins the master catalogue. Your offer appears in your shop, and other sellers who sell the same product can add their offers to the same page later.

What happens during admin review

The admin team checks that:

• The category, brand or product does not already exist (no duplicates).
• The product is allowed. Alcohol, medicines, food supplements and condoms are not sold on Isokorigari.
• Names are clear and correct, photos are real, and the category fits.

The team may approve your request, change it slightly (for example, rename a category or place it under a better parent), or refuse it with a reason. If you have questions, contact support.

Tips for fast approval

1. Search carefully before requesting.
2. Use simple, standard names buyers would search for.
3. Spell brand names exactly as on the product.
4. Use your own real photos, never photos copied from other websites.
5. Explain where a new category should go and why.
6. Send one request per item, not one request for many different things.
7. Reply quickly if the admin team asks for more information.

While you wait for approval

You do not have to stop selling while a request is reviewed. Add the products that already exist in the catalogue to your store, complete your shop and prepare photos and descriptions for the new items, so they can go live as soon as they are approved.

4. Sobanura mu magambo make ibicuruzwa bizajyamo.
5. Ohereza. Ubuyobozi burabyemeza, bukabihindura gato cyangwa bukabyanga.

Urugero rwiza: "Poultry Drinkers and Feeders, munsi ya Agriculture, Food & Beverage > Livestock & Poultry Equipment."

2. Gusaba ikirango gishya (Brand Request)

Ohereza Brand Request iyo ikirango cy'igicuruzwa cyawe kitari ku rutonde, cyane cyane ku birango bishya by'iwacu (Made in Rwanda) cyangwa ibitumizwa hanze. Andika izina ry'ikirango uko ryanditse ku gicuruzwa. Ntugasabe izina ry'ikindi kigo ngo urikoreshe.

3. Gusaba igicuruzwa gishya

Iyo igicuruzwa koko kitari muri master catalogue, ushobora kugikora cyangwa kugisaba; gisuzumwa n'ubuyobozi. Tegura:

• Izina mu Cyongereza n'Ikinyarwanda mu dukubo, ikirango, model n'ingano. Urugero: "Cooking Oil 1L (Amavuta yo Guteka)".
• Icyiciro gito gikwiye.
• Amafoto nyayo kandi asobanutse y'igicuruzwa.
• Ibisobanuro, ibiranga igicuruzwa n'amahitamo (ibara, size, storage, litiro, pack size, ingano y'amakaro...).
• Product identifier (nomero ya model cyangwa kode) niba ihari.

Ibisuzumwa n'ubuyobozi

Ko ibisabwa bitari bisanzwe biriho, ko igicuruzwa cyemewe (inzoga, imiti, inyongeramirire n'udukingirizo ntibyemewe), ko amazina asobanutse, amafoto ari nyayo kandi icyiciro gikwiye.
