Furniture Makers, Home Sellers and Made in Rwanda Artisans: Sell Online on Isokorigari

Carpenters, furniture workshops, home and garden sellers and Rwandan artisans can reach homes, hotels, offices and schools across the country by opening a shop on Isokorigari.com.

The opportunity for furniture and crafts in Rwanda

New houses, apartments, offices, hotels, restaurants and schools all need beds, sofas, tables, chairs, shelves, cupboards, decoration and garden items. Many good furniture workshops and craft cooperatives are known only in their neighbourhood. Buyers who would love their work simply cannot find them.

Isokorigari is a multivendor online marketplace in Rwanda that puts your workshop in front of buyers in Kigali and in all provinces. It serves both families (B2C) and businesses (B2B), so a single shop can sell one coffee table to a family and fifty chairs to a hotel.

The departments that fit your products

Shops on Isokorigari are organised by the categories they sell in. Use the "All Categories" menu to find the right place:

• Furniture: beds, sofas, dining sets, office desks and chairs, wardrobes, shelves, school desks and outdoor furniture.
• Home & Garden: home decor, kitchen and dining items, storage, textiles, garden tools and plant pots.
• Arts, Crafts & Sewing: handmade art, craft materials and sewing supplies.
• Gifts & Crafts: baskets, woven items, carvings, pottery and other handmade gifts.
• Lights & Lighting: lamps and decorative lights that complete a room.
• Construction & Real Estate (incl. Doors & Windows): wooden and metal doors, windows and frames.

If no category fits, send a Category Request. If your brand or workshop name is missing as a brand, send a Brand Request. The admin team approves both.

Stand out with Made in RW and Artisan badges

Isokorigari shows trust signals on sellers and products. Two are made for this sector:

• Made in RW: available as a seller badge and as a product ribbon, it tells buyers the item is made in Rwanda.
• Artisan: a seller badge for handmade and craft producers.

Other badges such as Verified, Quality, Women-Led, Youth-Led, Eco and Warranty, and ribbons like New, Bestseller or Combo Deal, also help buyers choose with confidence. Good product reviews and ratings make your shop even stronger.

What buyers look for

• Real photos of the finished piece, from several angles, and ideally in a room.
• Specifications: dimensions, wood type or material, finish, colour and weight.
• Product options such as colour, size or material, so one product page can cover several versions.
• Clear prices in Rwf, with wholesale prices for hotels, schools and offices.
• Delivery information: furniture is big and heavy, so set an accurate shipping profile. Delivery reaches Kigali and all provinces; time and cost depend on the seller and the location.
• Warranty and return information, explained honestly.
• Easy payment: MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, card, and cash on delivery where available.

How to list: catalogue first, no duplicates

Isokorigari keeps one master catalogue. Handmade pieces are often unique, but branded items (office chairs, mattresses, garden tools, lamps) are usually already in the catalogue. Always follow these steps:

1. Search the catalogue and the website for the product: same name, brand, model and size, same product identifier.
2. If it exists, do not create a new product. Open it and add it to your store by filling your own selling details: price, stock, minimum order quantity, condition, SKU, delivery/shipping profile, warranty, return information, and your own description notes if allowed.
3. Your offer appears on your shop page and in the marketplace under the existing category, in the "more sellers" offers, never as a duplicate.
4. If it does not exist (for example your own handmade design), create or request a new product. The admin team reviews it.
5. Use a Category Request or Brand Request when something is missing.

Retail and wholesale

Products on Isokorigari have minimum order quantities, and many have wholesale (bulk) prices. Set a retail price for single pieces and a wholesale price for bigger orders. Hotels, schools, NGOs and offices often use the "Request for Quote" (RFQ) button to ask for a quote for many pieces, which is a great chance for workshops that can produce in volume. Buyers of large orders may also use coupons like BULK5 (conditions apply and may change).

Your seller journey

1. Register at /seller and fill in your business details.
2. Wait for admin approval.
3. Set up your shop: name, logo, banner, description, policies, shipping profile, payment/payout details.
4. Add products, catalogue first.
5. Receive orders in your seller dashboard; confirm, pack, ship, then mark shipped and delivered.
6. Earnings go to your seller wallet, minus the marketplace commission set in the Seller Policy (see your seller dashboard). Then request your payout.
